Prevention of worms

prevention of parasites

According to WHO, more than 10 million people worldwide are infected with helminths every year.Helminthic infestation is extremely dangerous for the body due to large-scale damage - mechanical and toxic.Helminths destroy the tissues of the intestines and other organs of the body (even the heart and brain), poison people with phenol, formaldehyde poisons and other dangerous waste products, absorb vital macro and micronutrients;prevention of helminthiasis is important for adults and children.

One of the main difficulties when dealing with worms is their removal from the body.Most drugs affect only adults and cause a serious chemical "blow" to health (therefore, they cannot be taken often).Cystic forms and larvae that remain in the body continue to multiply and destroy the body, reduce resistance to infections, chronic diseases and cause dangerous pathologies.

Therefore, the main task is a comprehensive prevention of worms, preventing them from entering the body and maintaining its own protective barrier - normal, healthy microflora in the intestines, a properly functioning immune system, etc.

  • pays attention to hygiene, especially if you are in a risk group - this includes children going to kindergarten and school, workers of sewage plants, plumbers, summer residents and gardeners, agricultural and other workers;
  • focus on food and water quality;
  • take additional protective measures, because it is not enough to follow the first two rules - take preventive courses of anthelmintic drugs, use natural remedies, special treatment and rehabilitation complexes.

The difficulty of preventing helminths is due to the fact that they enter the body not only through raw contaminated water and unwashed hands, but also through the air carrying eggs and cysts, seemingly safe food and other sources.Two to four weeks after infection, patients develop acute helminthosis, then it becomes chronic, with different but always dangerous symptoms.Nevertheless, prevention should start with hygiene and lifestyle control.

Hygienic prevention of helminthiasis

Infection with helminths is very often through the skin and contact with contaminated objects - public places, toilets, even banknotes.Therefore, it is necessary in everyday life:

  • wash your hands well after using the toilet, coming from outside, before eating and observing personal hygiene rules, cut your nails in time (a long manicure is an additional risk factor);
  • regularly perform wet antiseptic cleaning at home;
  • control the cleanliness of underwear and utensils used;
  • if you have pets, conduct regular examinations, planned deworming and therapy, prevent contact of pets with stray dogs and cats, walk only in special places;
  • fights mechanical vectors of helminths - flies, cockroaches, etc.

Be especially careful when visiting public places.You can get infected by swimming in open water, swimming in a pool, coming into contact with birds and animals, playing on the beach, in a sandbox or on the grass in a park.Children who are especially sensitive to worms explore the world around them by "touch" and try to put everything they see into their mouths.It is impossible to control the quality of the sand in the parents' sandbox, to protect playgrounds and parks from stray animals and rodents.Therefore, the issue of anthelmintic prophylaxis for children is very acute.The most unpleasant thing is that you can get parasites just from the air, walking and not touching the ground.

Food control

In addition to being responsible for hygiene, it is also necessary to approach the quality of products and their processing.Vegetables, fruits and herbs are most often washed in cold water, but this is not enough to kill parasites.At least hot water should be poured over them.Meat, fish and seafood require long-term heat treatment at high temperatures and initial exposure in the freezer for several days.

A few more recommendations:

  • exclude from your diet rare steaks and raw fish, even sea fish - worm larvae can stay there for a very long time;
  • do not eat dried sausages - due to the production technology, helminths are not completely destroyed in them;
  • Do not take walks near livestock and poultry farms, open water bodies and other dangerous areas.

However, even boiling meat for a long time and using only vegetables from your own garden does not guarantee 100% protection against helminths.Additional measures should be taken to remove worms from the body and prevent re-infection.

Preparations and natural remedies for anthelmintic prevention

There are many drugs prescribed by doctors to fight helminthiasis.They are usually given once or twice because of their high toxicity, but they can break the worms' metabolism and eliminate them from the body.Therefore, people who are worried about their health take such drugs even without a diagnosis - as a preventive measure.

Often, a wide range of drugs are used for prevention.Medicines differ in the type of active substance, they help with various forms of helminthosis and should not be taken without prior diagnosis and a doctor's prescription.This can cause more damage due to "drug shock".

Another preventive therapy option is natural remedies.Among the most famous:

  • pumpkin seeds (must have a green shell);
  • garlic, onion and ginger;
  • tincture of walnut kernels;
  • herbal infusions with tansy, wormwood, celandine and other natural bitters.

The effectiveness of natural remedies is not very high, it is difficult to calculate the dose required for prevention, and few people honestly eat raw garlic and pumpkin seeds regularly."Folk recipes" are not enough for complete prevention.

Special complexes are needed to provide comprehensive protection against helminthic infection, to constantly create an "active" barrier and to fight parasites independently.Such products include several drugs that eliminate existing worms, restore the balance of nutrients disturbed by them, and gently restore the normal state of the internal environment.

Natural-based preparations contain natural bitters, vital trace elements to absorb helminths (zinc, iodine, selenium, magnesium, copper, etc.) and do not cause side effects.Complex:

  • eliminates and protects 150 types of worms in all forms - cysts, eggs, larvae, adults;
  • improves the enzymatic activity of the intestines, eliminates dysbiosis, restores the functions of the gastrointestinal tract and liver;
  • compensates for the lack of micro- and macroelements, helps to remove heavy metals from the body;
  • improves external and internal conditions, helps fight a wide range of chronic diseases.

To prevent helminthic infection, it is recommended to take a special complex and medication in a three-month course (with a one-week break between each).The antiparasitic and health program is carried out once or twice a year, three to four times a year if you are in a risk group.
